The cashier at Aldi changed how I meal plan forever
Last Tuesday I was checking out with my usual pile of canned beans and rice when the cashier pointed at my cart and said, 'You know you can get the store brand for 40 cents less, right?' I had never even looked at the price tags that close. She told me she feeds her family of four on $60 a week by buying only what's on the bottom shelf. I went home, checked my receipt, and realized I spent $14 extra on brand names that week. Has anyone else had a stranger's tip completely flip their grocery routine?

Wait, people actually check the bottom shelf? Mind blown.
