Tried freezing my own burrito packs vs buying the frozen ones at the store

Buddy of mine tried it and ended up with freezer burned mush instead of burritos.

I used to think freezing prepared stuff was a no-brainer, but hearing about that freezer burned mush changed my mind. Did he wrap them tight enough or just toss them in a bag?

Three weeks is the sweet spot I've found - anything past that and they start getting that weird icy texture. But if you wrap them tight in foil and then a freezer bag (double layer is key), they hold up way better than the store ones that somehow manage to be both soggy AND dry at the same time.
