Question about getting a visa for Vietnam. The online e-visa system said 3 business days, but mine took almost 3 full weeks to come through.

Honestly, the three day thing is just a best case scenario. Tbh I've heard from a few people that it can stretch out to a month sometimes, especially if they flag your application for a manual check. It's not a set rule, it's more like a hopeful estimate.

Actually, I've applied for that visa three times and it's always been exactly three days for me. The system is usually pretty reliable if you fill everything out perfectly. Maybe there was a small mistake on the form that caused a delay.

Check what time of year you applied. I had a buddy apply right before Tet, their New Year, and everything government related basically shut down for weeks. The official processing time doesn't account for their holidays or local office closures. Maybe you got caught in a backlog from a holiday you didn't even know about. What month did you submit your application?
