Can we talk about choosing dot grid over lined pages for my daily log?
Six months ago I switched my daily log from a lined notebook to a dot grid one because I kept running out of space for tasks and notes on the same page. I picked the dot grid after seeing a friend's setup at a coffee shop in Portland, and honestly I thought I would hate it at first. Turns out the dots let me split a page into three sections without drawing a single line, which saves me about 10 minutes every morning. I use one column for tasks, one for notes from calls, and one for stuff I need to move to tomorrow. The only downside is my handwriting gets a little sloppy without lines to guide it, so I started using a ruler for the first few entries. If you are stuck between lined and dot grid, think about whether you like making your own boxes or want the page to tell you where things go. What made you pick your current notebook style, and did it work out like you hoped?
Ugh, I read somewhere that dot grid people swear by it for bullet journals but I never thought about using it for a daily log to split sections like that. Might have to grab a dot grid next time and see if it actually cuts down my setup time too.
