My bullet journal from five years ago is a totally different beast
I dug out my old bullet journal from 2019 and wow, it's wild to see the difference. Back then, I was all about color coding and had separate sections for everything. I even had a mood tracker with tiny drawings that took forever. I thought more colors meant I was more organized, but I often missed entries because setup took too long. These days, I use a simple notebook and one pen. I focus on getting my tasks down quickly without any fuss. It's way more effective for my busy schedule. I learned that keeping it simple helps me stick with it, and that's what matters most.

Yeah, totally. I get what Sarah's saying. Sometimes the act of adding color forces you to slow down and actually process what you're writing. Like, picking a color for a task makes you think about its priority or category without needing a separate system.

Using colors does more than make you slow down; it lets you see your notes at a glance. After a while, your brain just knows red means urgent and blue means ideas. Isn't it wild how such a small change can clear up a messy list? It's like having your own code that makes planning easier without trying. That way, you can focus on doing the work instead of sorting it out.
