The 5 second rule for my weekly spread, and why it actually works
Last week I read in a Ryder Carroll interview that he only spends 5 minutes on his monthly setup, and it broke my brain because I was spending 40 minutes trying to make mine look like a Pinterest board. So I tried it, just a plain list and dates, and I actually used it every single day instead of avoiding it. Has anyone else found that the prettier the spread, the less you touch it?
Oh man, this is so true, and it goes even deeper than spreads. Once you stop making it pretty, you also stop being scared to mess it up, so you actually write in it instead of saving it for "someday." My old fancy spreads were basically art I was too nervous to touch, and the plain list version is ugly but full of real stuff.
