Picked a hand saw over the band saw on a deer last fall and regretted it
Last October I had a nice sized doe hanging in the shop and my band saw blade snapped right as I started breaking her down, so I grabbed the hand saw instead of waiting two days on a new blade. It took me almost three hours and the cuts came out ragged, and I lost a good bit of trim meat fighting the blade through the joints. Does anyone keep a spare blade on the shelf for this exact reason, or am I the only one who learned this lesson the slow way?
