Plywood thickness spec lied to me for 15 years

I always trusted the label on 3/4 inch plywood, never measured it. Last week I clamped a piece to my workbench and ran a caliper across it, came out at 0.703 inches. That's not even close. Checked three different sheets from the same bundle, all the same. So all my dados and rabbets have been slightly loose this whole time and I never caught it because I trusted the sticker. Anyone else out there just assume the nominal size was true, or do you always measure before you cut?

My dado stack is a 3/4" Freud set and I just checked it against a 0.703" sheet last weekend. The difference is basically the same as the thickness of a piece of paper, but it explains why my last bookshelf joints looked like they had a tiny gap before glue up. Now I just set the saw to the actual measurement and skip the sticker drama lol.
