Veneer bubbling up ruined my week

I put so much care into applying this thin veneer on a cabinet door. Woke up to find it all warped and peeling. The weather changed overnight, and my shop's climate control failed. Now I have to strip it and start over, which is a HUGE pain. Seriously, how do you guys handle sudden moisture changes?

Come on, real woodworkers plan for humidity swings without this drama.

Actually @thomas_wood, wrong glue can cause that too right?

Honestly, sudden moisture changes are a nightmare for veneer work. Tbh, even with climate control, it can be hard to predict how the wood will react. Ngl, what kind of adhesive were you using, and did you seal the back of the veneer too?
