Shoutout to the wireless tester I thought was pointless

I used to think wireless testers were just extra gear for no reason. Then I got called to fix a signal issue in a house where the owner had run cables through his wall of vintage radios. After untangling that mess for an hour, the tester pinpointed the problem in two seconds. Now I carry one every day, and it keeps me from looking like a fool.

Isn't it crazy how the weirdest stuff messes with signals? I was at a job where the wifi kept dying in one bedroom, and I was ready to re-run the whole cable. No way, that's wild. So the tester actually pointed you right at the wall? What kind was it, just a basic RF detector? Always wondered if those cheap ones are any good for finding hidden junk like that.
