That old lady in Duluth who asked me to fix her grandkid's tablet too

Last week I was out in Duluth hooking up a new drop for a lady who had to be 80 something, and after I got her cable box going she pulled out this beat up tablet with a cracked screen and asked if I could 'just take a look'. I told her I'm not a tech repair guy but I spent 20 minutes walking her through reseting the wifi and she gave me a jar of homemade jam that was honestly better than any tip. Has anyone else ended up doing side favors on a job that had nothing to do with cable, and do you ever actually say no?
