Appreciation post: My bulky first-aid kit saved our trip when things went south.

Funny how often the stuff we call overkill ends up being exactly right. See it all the time, like when you finally use that weird socket wrench for the one bolt nothing else fits. Preparing for the wrong Tuesday is usually what saves a regular Wednesday.
