My new tent pole snapped in a light breeze at Lake Tahoe
Honestly, I'm still mad about it. I bought this 'all season' dome tent for a trip last month, cost me about $180. The first night at the lake, a normal wind came through, maybe 15 mph. I heard a loud pop from the main pole. The fiberglass just gave out near a joint, left a huge sag in the rainfly. I had to use a ton of paracord and a stick from the woods to rig a fix so I didn't get soaked. The whole thing felt super cheap, and the pole sleeves were a pain to get the broken piece out of. What's a good brand that actually uses decent poles? I don't need a tank, just something that won't fail on a calm night.
