Cancelled chef apology tour, I flipped after the 3rd one
I used to think any apology was better than silence. Then I watched Chef Marco from that Portland food truck do his comeback video, all teary eyed in a rented studio, and he blamed his 'stress' for the wage theft. Two weeks later he was back posting fancy plating videos like nothing happened. What actually changed my mind was seeing him get a real job at a diner in Spokane, no fanfare, just quietly cooking. Has anyone else gotten more respect for a low key fall from grace than the big PR comeback?
But a big PR comeback is how you know it's real. The Spokane thing could just be him hiding out till the heat dies down. Give me a guy who cries in a rented studio and owns up to it over some silent line cook who never said sorry once.
