I finally found a trick that got an influencer unblocked from every platform

My buddy dated a canceled beauty guru who got booted off IG, TikTok, and YouTube after that whole fake giveaway scandal. She hired some $500 consultant who told her to post a raw unedited apology video with no filters or script, and it actually worked. Has anyone else seen a comeback strategy that felt too simple to be real?

Ray nailed it, that "trying to look perfect" thing is exactly why the raw approach works now since everyone's so tired of the polished fake stuff. And yeah her apology stayed up but people still dug up old screenshots and tweets, she just had to own all of it in the follow up videos instead of pretending it didn't happen.

Funny how trying to look perfect is what got them canceled in the first place, then going completely raw and unpolished is what saves them. It makes sense when you think about it though, people are so used to influencers staging everything that any hint of realness cuts through all that noise. The trick seems to be actually showing some real shame or regret instead of the usual "my team wrote this for me" vibe. Did her apology actually stay up or did people still try to dig up old dirt on her after?
