Rant: That apology video with the ring light was a total miss

Watched a creator try to comeback after lying about a charity split. She sat there in perfect lighting reading a scripted note, zero emotion, and I finally get why people stay mad. The one who actually worked was the guy who posted a raw 90 second clip from his car in Portland admitting he messed up. Has anyone else noticed sincerity only lands when they ditch the production?
