TIL a guy from my old warehouse job went from $17/hr to $31/hr in 8 months just by getting his forklift cert
I ran into him at the Kroger on 5th last week and he told me he did a 2 week night class at the community college, cost him $400 out of pocket. He said the cert got his resume past the filter at a distribution center in Columbus and he was making $31/hr with overtime by month 8. Is it worth it to pay for a cert like that myself if my current job won't cover it?
