Switched from broad resume blasting to targeted job applications and got way better results

I used to send out like 50 resumes a week for any job vaguely related to my experience. Total waste of time. Then I tried focusing on just 5 jobs a week and actually tailoring each cover letter and resume to the job description. Got interviews from 3 of those 5 applications in two weeks. Has anyone else found that being super selective works way better than mass applying?

Yeah quality always beats quantity in everything, right?

Hang on, does getting 3 interviews out of 5 really prove it's that much better, or did you just get lucky with those 3 jobs?
