Pro tip: do not post your airline complaint while still sitting on the plane in Denver
Watched a guy two rows up spend the whole 40 minute delay typing out a long rant about the gate crew and hit post right as we pulled in. The flight attendant walked past, saw the screen, and said "sir, we can all see your name on that." He tried to delete it but the replies were already rolling in from people tagging the airline. Now the whole plane knows he is the guy who called a 24 year old gate agent a word I will not repeat here. Why do people think the airport wifi is anonymous?
Small correction but the wifi part isnt really the issue here. Most airline wifi networks do require you to log in with your name or a booking number, so its not like hes posting from some hidden account, hes basically signing his name to it either way. The real problem is that people forget the internet is not a private journal, whether you are on a plane or in your living room. That gate agent could see it, the airline could see it, and now a whole cabin of bored passengers has nothing better to do than watch it blow up. 40 minutes of free time plus a captive audience plus a phone is just a bad combo no matter how you slice it.
