That time a star's 'apology' was just a reposted meme, argue with me
Last Saturday I was scrolling through the feed and saw a well known actor post a long apology for a bad take, but someone in the comments noticed the exact same text was a meme format from three years ago. The actor just copied the joke and added their name at the end. Half the replies were laughing, half were genuinely offended that they didn't even bother to write their own words. I sat there with my coffee at a diner on 5th and Main trying to figure out which side was worse, the laziness or the fact that people believed it. So here's my question, is a copy pasted apology better than no apology at all, or does it make the original fail even bigger? I'm leaning toward it being funnier, but I want to hear if anyone thinks it crossed a line.
