I swore off gas station sushi for 6 years, and a line cook in Reno got me back on it
My rule started after a bad night in 2018 and I never broke it. But a line cook named Dez at a spot on Wells Ave told me the trick is going at 7am when the rice is still warm, not at 11pm when it's been sitting all day. I tried it twice this month and both times it was fine. Has anyone else got a weird food rule they dropped because of one person's logic?
