Bought a $750 inspection camera and it already paid for itself on one job

Found a hidden crack behind a 30 year old liner in Wichita that would have meant a full tear out, so I charged the homeowner for the camera footage and it covered the whole cost, has anyone else had a tool pay itself back that fast?

Is charging the homeowner for your own equipment really a win, or just passing your business costs onto them? I mean, the camera found a real problem, but most folks would just eat that cost and keep the tool for next time.
