Vent: I picked the bus pass over fixing my car and the math got weird
My old Corolla needed a $900 repair last spring and I had to pick between that and a 6 month bus pass for $300. I went with the pass because I told myself I'd be cutting my driving in half, which felt like the right call for the planet. Turns out the bus route to my job adds 40 minutes each way, so I lasted about 7 weeks before I was begging rides and feeling pretty dumb. I'm back in the car now but I still feel bad about it. Did anyone else try to make the switch and just get worn down by the schedule?
