I Watched a Twitch Streamer Delete 8 Years of VODs After One Bad Clip and I Was in the Chat

Last month I was sitting in my truck during lunch, just scrolling Twitch on my phone, when I popped into a streamer's channel I'd been watching for about 2 years. He had around 4,000 viewers and was mid-game when a clip of him from the day before started going around on Twitter. Someone had cut together 30 seconds of him saying something heated about a mod, and it blew up way bigger than it should have. Within an hour his chat was full of people spamming about it, and you could see him getting rattled on stream. He ended the stream early, and by the next morning his entire VOD library was gone, 8 years of clips just wiped. His Twitter was deleted too. I sat there with my sandwich feeling weird about the whole thing because I actually watched the full clip later and it was way less bad than people made it out to be. Has anyone else seen a creator nuke their whole archive over one taken-out-of-context moment?
