That blogger's 'engagement bait' tip got me ratio'd so bad I deleted the post
Some lifestyle influencer with 400k followers kept saying Instagram punishes you for asking questions in captions, so I switched to just posting bold opinions. Three days ago I put up a hot take about that brand's greenwashing apology tour, and the replies were brutal. Over 800 comments calling me out for missing context I didn't even know about, and I had to wipe my whole account after 5 hours. Has anyone else followed advice from a big creator and then watched it backfire this hard?

Ugh, I've been there, and it stings every time. The trick is to never post anything that you can't back up with receipts, because the internet will always dig deeper than you think. Honestly, just go back to asking questions in captions, at least that way people are arguing with each other, not with you.
