Rant: My lead hand keeps changing the coolant mix without telling anyone

Had a job last year where the mill operator kept tweaking speeds based on "how the cut felt." We ended up with three different surface finishes on the same run of parts. The inconsistency created a mountain of extra work, sorting and reworking. It pushed the whole project back by two days. That kind of quiet change costs everyone time and money.

Man, that coolant mix thing is a silent killer. Seen it wreck setups before. You gotta get a cheap marker and write the ratio right on the coolant tank lid. Big and clear. Makes it obvious if someone changes it and everyone can see the standard. It sounds stupid simple, but it stops the guessing game cold.

Ugh, that's the worst. Had a guy on my line who kept adjusting the feed rate on his own. Wrecked a whole batch before anyone caught it. Total communication fail.
