Why do new guys keep miking the tool holder instead of touching off on the part
Had a guy run a 12 part job on the Haas last Tuesday and every single one came out .015 oversized because he trusted his tool length from the presetter instead of touching off. The presetter reads fine but thermal growth on a spindle running 8 hours will eat you alive. Just bump your offset after the first part and check it again at lunch, anyone else see this turn into a habit with newer operators?
