Pro tip: switching from print to a debugger in my intro class finally made loops click for me
Back in my first coding class at the community college in Mesa, I spent 2 weeks stuck on a nested loop. I kept adding print statements everywhere, like 15 of them, and the output was just a wall of numbers I couldn't follow. Then a classmate told me to try the debugger in VS Code and step through one line at a time. Took me maybe 20 minutes to see where my counter variable was getting reset. Felt dumb but also relieved. Anyone else have a tool that made a basic idea finally make sense?
