A barista in Tacoma made me rethink my whole pull list

I was grabbing coffee last Tuesday and this kid behind the counter saw my bag of weekly issues. He asked if I actually read them or just collected for the covers. I told him I'd been buying singles since 2002, over 200 a year, without really thinking about it. He said he waits for trades because the story hits harder without waiting a month for a cliffhanger to resolve. Has anyone else switched away from floppies after a conversation like that?
