Bar chat made me appreciate hardcore fan details
Had two guys at the bar go on about some old hero's origin last week. I used to brush off fans who cared too much about tiny stuff. But they showed how a side character's past changed the whole plot later. Like with Batman's early years, I never paid attention to the side stories. Now I get why people dive deep into those bits. It adds layers I missed before. Anyone have a similar change of heart?

Totally get what you mean! Ever have that happen with a video game series too? I used to skip all the lore collectibles until one totally flipped my view of the story.

There was a piece I read about how audio logs in games like BioShock actually build the world. It said that skipping them means missing half the plot. Those little recordings show why Rapture fell apart. Without them, you just shoot splicers without knowing why. It really points out how devs hide story in plain sight. Makes you see the work put into those details.

Hey @webb.gavin, but what if gameplay showed the story?
