Comic Con line culture changed after that NYCC panel disaster

At New York Comic Con last fall, I waited 3 hours for the X-Men panel and got shoved out by a crowd that didn't respect the queue. The staff just let it happen, and now I see fans skipping lines or arguing over seats at every con I visit. Do we still hold to first-come-first-served, or is the chaos just part of the experience now?
