Trying to pick between a longbox and short boxes for my 1993 Valiant run

My local shop in Tempe had a longbox for $12 and a 5-pack of short boxes for $18, so I grabbed the longbox since it fit more. Big mistake. That thing gets heavy fast with about 200 books in it, and now I have to slide it off the shelf to reach anything in the back. Do you all split your runs into short boxes or just deal with the longbox shuffle?
