Finally caved and picked "algorithm friendly" over "what I actually wanted to post"
Been on the fence for weeks about whether to post that deep dive on local pollinator plants or just do another easy before/after lawn shot. The deep dive is what I really care about, you know? But every time I post something with a lot of text or niche info, it gets like 12 likes. Meanwhile my buddy posts a 10 second video of him edging a sidewalk and it hits 5k views. So yesterday I tried the algorithm friendly route - short video, trendy audio, hashtags I hate using. Got 800 views in 3 hours. Part of me feels dirty but part of me is like... I got new clients from it? Has anyone else had to choose between their actual content and what the algorithm wants?
