Found a comment under a news article that was just a recipe for meatloaf

It was a post about local politics, and the top reply was a full paragraph on ground beef ratios and cooking times. I used to think comment sections were for debate, but now I just scroll for the weird stuff. Anyone else see a totally normal post get hijacked by something random like that?

Oh man, that's the best part of the internet now. I used to try and have real talks in comments, but I'd just get mad. Now my hobby is collecting these weird off-topic replies. It's like a treasure hunt. Honestly, that meatloaf recipe probably added more to my day than another political argument ever could. I'm just waiting for the day I find a full car repair guide under a baking video.

But that's exactly what's wrong with the internet now. You and Barbara are just giving up on real talk. Those weird replies are funny once, but they kill any chance of a good discussion. It's just noise. If everyone treats comments like a joke, we lose the place to actually learn from each other. The meatloaf recipe is a distraction, not a treasure.

Collecting those replies sounds way more fun than reading the actual articles.
