Read 200 comments tearing a woman apart for feeding her kids hot dogs, then saw 40 comments being kind to a guy posting the same dinner pic
Last Tuesday I fell into a rabbit hole in a moms group where a woman got destroyed for posting a plate of hot dogs and mac and cheese, and I mean hundreds of replies calling her lazy and worse. Then a few hours later a dude posted almost the same meal, and the comments were all jokes and support, like 40 people just having fun with him. I went back and forth twice counting because I could not believe it, and the nicest comment on her post was somebody asking if she was okay. I kept thinking maybe it was timing or the caption, but both posts were almost word for word the same. Maybe I am reading too much into it, but the difference in those two comment sections said a lot more about the commenters than the dinners. Has anyone else watched two nearly identical posts get treated like night and day? I want to know if this is just how groups work or if I am noticing something real.
