Ever wonder what the bottom of that lake looks like after all that time? I spent a summer diving for lost gear up near Sleeping Bear and the sheer scale of the shipwrecks down there still gets me. It's a whole different world when you're that deep.

I always thought shipwrecks were just old wood down there until I saw a picture of the Carl D. Bradley. It's sitting upright like it's still sailing, just 360 feet down. That image totally changed how I see the lakes. I mean, you're right, it's a whole preserved world we never get to see. Makes you realize how much history is just sitting in the dark down there.
