Kirby Morgan vs Ocean Reef - no contest after a month on the reef

I used a Ocean Reef for my first year diving on a pipeline job off Galveston. Switched to a Kirby Morgan 37 last month and the difference in communication clarity alone is night and day. Has anyone else made the switch and found the same?

Man Kirby Morgans are tanks but that extra weight adds up fast on deep days.

Buddy of mine ran a set of those on his old Kaskey and swore by them until he had to carry the thing out over a mile through alder thickets. Said his shoulders were done for a week.
