I finally saw how bad our sealer job was after a year of weather
We did this big stamped patio in Phoenix about 14 months ago and used that solvent-based acrylic sealer the boss always pushes. Drove by the other day and the color was completely faded in spots and it's peeling up near the edges. Is there a way to strip this stuff off without damaging the color underneath?

Oh man that is rough to see your own work falling apart like that. Ive had that same sinking feeling pulling up to a job a year later.
For stripping that solvent acrylic you probably want to try a good quality soy-based or citrus-based stripper specifically for concrete sealers. Ive used Eagle Strip it before and it worked pretty decent but you gotta scrub it in good and pressure wash it off fast. Just be real careful with the pressure setting because too high and itll scar the color. If the color underneath is just stain or integral color, it should hold up okay as long as you dont blast too long in one spot.

Gotta jump in here real quick - soy and citrus strippers are actually better for water-based acrylics, not solvent acrylics. For solvent acrylic you're gonna want a methylene chloride based stripper or something like Citristrip. The soy stuff just won't cut through the solvents enough.
