Unpopular opinion: I built my whole schedule in a spreadsheet for two years and it was a mistake
I run a small remodeling crew in Kansas City and I did everything in one giant Excel sheet for two years. What tipped me off was a Tuesday in March when a client called asking why nobody showed up, and I had them written down for Thursday in a version of the file I had emailed the week before. My foreman had been texting me job changes that I kept meaning to type in, and twice that month I billed the wrong address on an invoice. Now I use a real scheduling tool, just a basic one at $39 a month, and the double bookings dried up in about two weeks. Does anyone else have a moment like this where the free option was quietly costing more than the paid one?
