My wax warmer face-off with an actual frying pan ended how you'd guess
Last Saturday I had three back-to-back clients in Denver and my heater died right before the first one. Out of desperation I grabbed the tiny nonstick pan from my break room kitchen and set it on a hot plate, figured how different could it be. The wax melted unevenly and one client got a streak that looked like a lightning bolt on her brow. I re-did her with my spare warmer after the appointment and she laughed about it, but honestly that pan is now just for my grilled cheese experiments. Anyone else ever jury-rigged equipment during a rush and instantly regretted it?

Those three back to back sound rough, and the lightning bolt thing actually made me wince. I've done my own share of dumb swaps when the clock was ticking and every single time it just makes the day longer and harder. The worst part is you know better, but panic takes over and suddenly you're using a spatula as a mixing stick. At least you had a spare and got her fixed up right away, that's the main thing. The pan has earned its retirement for grilled cheese, that's for sure.
