The client who brought a photo of herself from 2004
Last Tuesday a woman walks in with a screenshot from an old MySpace profile and asks me to match her color exactly. I told her that hair was from a different decade and a different formula, but she insisted. I spent 45 minutes explaining why her current gray roots and that honey blonde highlight job were never going to look like the photo. She left mid-process when I tried to talk about toner. Has anyone else dealt with clients who refuse to accept that their hair texture and color history changed over time?
