A wobbling load showed me why weight checks are non-negotiable

I used to think rough weights were fine when the boss wanted things done fast. Last week, a load swung wild because we estimated instead of using the scale. It almost hit a guy, and that scared me straight. Now I demand exact weights every time, even if it slows us down.

Seriously, that kind of close call is the only thing some people ever listen to. You can talk about rules all day, but it doesn't click until you almost see someone get hurt. It's crazy that speed ever gets put before knowing the actual numbers. That load swinging is all the reason you should ever need. Nobody's job is worth that kind of risk, ever.
