A viewer told me my outro music was too loud and I finally fixed it after 18 months
Someone commented that my outro music was making their headphones hurt every time. I checked my export levels and realized I had it peaking at -3dB while my voice was at -12dB. I pulled the music down to -18dB and now my outros actually sound balanced. The funniest part is I got three more comments this week saying my audio quality improved. Has anyone else had a regular viewer point out a basic mistake you made forever?

Took me about a year to realize my compressor was squishing my voice too hard. A regular pointed out I sounded "robotic" in my narration and I finally checked and yeah, I had the ratio at 8:1 like a maniac. Dropped it to 3:1 and suddenly my voice actually sounds like a human being talking. It's wild how many little things we just assume are fine until someone with fresh ears calls it out.

8:1 ratio... man, that's brutal. I can't believe it took a whole year before someone spoke up though.
