Zeroed in a part in under 10 minutes today, felt like a boss

Getting the right feel for it matters more than perfect datums, just gotta trust your eye sometimes.

One Tuesday that cost me $800 because I ignored my gut on ad targeting

6 days and $800" man that's brutal. I literally gasped when I read that number just sitting there wasted. Clients always think they know their audience better than the data does, especially when it comes to "luxury" stuff. I had a client once insist on targeting "high net worth pet owners" for a dog grooming ad and it tanked just as hard. Your gut was screaming at you and you still let them talk you into it, I've been there too many times.

That $500 'influencer apology' email from a brand I actually liked felt super fake

@mila_flores8 nailed it. Copy paste apologies are worse than silence, it's like they're not even trying.

That $60 'expert' soil test kit was a complete waste of money

Every test said my pH was perfect and nutrients were high" - see that right there is the red flag. A soil test that says everything is perfect is like a doctor saying you're 100% healthy without even looking at you, something's fishy. I wasted money on those big box store kits too, the ones with the little color chart you have to match up. They're garbage if you ask me, especially for pH which is super touchy. Did the county test tell you what was actually wrong with the soil besides the pH being off? I'm curious if it was a nutrient lockout problem or something else that the kit completely missed.

Not sold on this "dry suit" trend for inland diving

12 winters is a real test, and I've done plenty of 20-minute bottom jobs where my old wetsuit and a neoprene vest worked just fine without the faff of zippers and valves.
