My entire Patreon tier system crashed last Tuesday...

I had this whole plan to launch a new $10 tier with custom video shoutouts, but the integration with my Discord server just broke and wiped the welcome messages for 47 people. Had to spend 6 hours manually sending DMs and fixing permissions... has anyone else had a Patreon webhook fail that badly?

Honestly I used to think webhooks were bulletproof until something like this happened to me.

Wait, what actually broke? I always figured once the webhook was set up it just kept running forever. Did the endpoint just stop listening or did the whole thing crash?

People forget about the server logs filling up... had a client's webhook fail because the disk space ran out from too many debug messages. The service was still technically running but couldn't write new data, so it just stopped processing anything. Took forever to figure out because the monitoring only checked if the process was alive, not if it was actually working.
