That 2016 Tumblr reblog chain still haunts my sleep schedule

I dug up my old Tumblr last night, the one with 14k notes on a post I made about how deep fried memes were the peak of comedy. I was 19 and dead serious. Rereading it now, I almost had to close the laptop twice. The worst part was the caption, something about 'ironic detachment' while I was posting pics of my cat edited to look like a potato. My buddy Steve said he saw it floating around a Discord server last month, and I felt my stomach drop through the floor. It's been 8 years and that thing still gets passed around like a cursed artifact. Has anyone else had an old post come back to haunt them from a stranger's feed, or am I the only one cursed by my own cringe?

Delete and recreate the blog. New URL, new name, everything. Did that in 2018 after my "hot take" on pineapple pizza got screenshotted and posted to a meme group. Still find it sometimes, but at least it's not linked to my face anymore. Trust me, that disconnect helps your brain stop spiraling at 2am.
