Custom stair rail took 11 days because of one missing bracket
We wrapped a full custom build in Fort Collins and the last thing left was the floating stair rail. Looked simple on paper. Turns out the steel brackets needed a specific weld pattern that no local shop could match. Ordered from a fabricator in Denver, they sent the wrong angle twice. Each mistake cost us 4 days of waiting. I finally drove down there myself and watched them cut it on the spot. Total 11 days just for a rail that should have taken one afternoon. Anyone else had a small detail blow up the schedule like this?

Laughed way too hard at this because I once spent a whole Saturday hunting down a single hinge pin for a cabinet door, so yeah, small stuff loves to wreck a plan. Waiting on a fabricator who keeps sending the wrong angle twice sounds like pure torture, four days gone each time. Driving down there and standing over them while they cut it is exactly what I would have done too. Sometimes you just gotta be the pain in the butt to get it right.
