People really overthink this stuff. It's just square footage, not a life changing revelation. I've been in houses double that size and they were just bigger rooms to walk through. You can have a great floor plan at 1,500 feet and a terrible one at 3,000. It's all about how you use the space, not the number on the blueprints.
