That conversation with my drywall guy made me question my whole insulation plan
I was talking to my drywall contractor in Boise last week while he taped the upstairs, and he mentioned that a lot of clients are requesting spray foam but skipping the air sealing of rim joists, which completely defeats the purpose. He said he's torn out 3 jobs this year where mold was already growing behind the foam because moisture had nowhere to go. Have you all run into this disconnect between what homeowners ask for and what actually works in your own builds?

Three spray foam tear outs and they still think it's the magic fix?

Watching the same crews push this stuff year after year is getting old.
