Took 2 failed subfloor pours for me to learn I was reading the level wrong in Bend

I was building a 1,400 sq ft addition in Bend and kept fighting low spots on my subfloor. Turns out my 6 foot level was reading off by almost a quarter inch because I had it resting on a screw head every time I checked. Grabbed a steel straightedge to double check and there it was, clear as day. How do you guys verify your floors before you start framing walls on top?
